InCUBE hosted its first webinar on Building Information Modelling (BIM)- a cutting-edge approach to integrating data and policy into digital plans for renovation projects.
In December 2023, InCUBE hosted its first webinar on Building Information Modelling (BIM)- a cutting-edge approach to integrating data and policy into digital plans for renovation projects. Project partners Estudio Metro7 SLP, Van Wijnen, and Fondazione Bruno Kessle presented how BIM can help seize the opportunities in building renovation, with a strong emphasis on enhancing (energy) efficiency, streamlining coordination, minimizing errors, realizing cost efficiencies, and ultimately, reducing environmental impact.
Audience participation during the question-and-answer session was strong, with many questions on the future of BIM, its evolution with AI, how BIM can be used not just for construction planning but also for building maintenance, and more. Many thanks to our speakers Beatriz Gimeno Frontera, Guillermo Martinez, and Elisa Mariarosaria Farella for their insights, and to all the attendees for their participation. The recording of the webinar can be found here.
