The digital building logbook is the repository of InCUBE in the form of a data lake, which is responsible for storing static and dynamic data and providing access to data related to all phases of buildings’ lifecycle, assets, and renovation activities.
The first version of the InCUBE Digital Building Logbook (DBL) has been developed and deployed by project partner CERTH. The DBL is the repository of InCUBE in the form of a data lake, which is responsible for storing static and dynamic data and providing access to data related to all phases of buildings’ lifecycle, assets, and renovation activities. Moreover, storage of various file types (documents, images, videos) with easy access is supported, and a data catalogue service is provided for indexing. Special focus has been given on interoperability, by defining data models to describe various entities (buildings, devices, products, sensors, renovation activities, and other) and by providing two options for transferring data via HTTP and MQTT protocols. Lastly, privacy and security measures have been implemented at the database, data access, and data transfer levels.
