Organized by the College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Zaragoza, the event showcased the latest advancements in industrialized rehabilitation and energy-efficient construction. 

The summit featured a comprehensive agenda addressing key topics in sustainable building, including: 

  • Energy Rehabilitation: Strategies and technologies to enhance energy efficiency in existing buildings. 
  • Digitalization in Construction: The role of digital tools in improving project efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Innovative Materials: Exploration of new sustainable materials that enhance building performance. 
  • Public Policies on Rehabilitation: Insights into governmental initiatives supporting sustainable renovation. 

The InCUBE presentation featured industry leaders discussing the development of new solutions and techniques for sustainable renovation. Speakers included José Bailach Hernandis, Managing Partner at METRO7; Mapi Dal, Architect at METRO7; Alberto Moldon, Director at Kover SXXI; and Clara Lorente Martín, Architect specializing in sustainability and energy efficiency at Fundación CIRCE. Their insights emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving large-scale urban renewal. 

With renovation on the InCUBE demo set to start in February 2025, Zaragoza is positioning itself as a leader in scalable urban rehabilitation. The success of this project could serve as a model for other European cities looking to accelerate sustainable renovation.
