Energy Performance Analysis of the Renovation Process in an Italian Cultural Heritage Building

Recently our project partner, FBK-SE | The Centre for Sustainable Energy | Bruno Kessler Foundation, has published a new scientific article. This publication is based on the InCUBE Project EU pilot conducted in Trento, Italy, where a historic building is undergoing significant renovations focused on enhancing energy efficiency and integrating renewable energy sources.

The renovation efforts include several key actions: improving the building envelope, installing innovative technologies such as a ground-source heat pump, and upgrading the electrical systems with photovoltaics and LED lighting. Simulation analyses of these interventions have demonstrated substantial reductions in energy demand, underscoring the effectiveness of these measures. 

The findings presented in this article are invaluable for stakeholders engaged in similar renovations of cultural heritage buildings, providing insights and data that can inform future projects.
